Public Animated Installation – Platform International Animation Festival

Activating the public space as a Platform Festival street installation, Rose Bond’s Intra Muros delivers a personal and voyeuristic glimpse into an artist’s struggles with creative malaise. Bond visually samples work from experimental giants Norman McLaren, Len Lye and herself as Judith Gruber-Stitzer’s soundtrack ranges from contemplative to cacophonous.

Viewed in multiple windows from the street, Rose Bond’s Intra Muros, a comic-strip glimpse into the rituals of the creative process, plays artfully with transience, public art, and the animated image. Bond visually samples work from experimental giants Norman McLaren, Len Lye and herself in this innovative exploration of space and time - public and private.  Original music and sound design by Judith Gruber-Stitzer.
