Public Animated Installation – Platform International Animation Festival

Activating the public space as a Platform Festival street installation, Rose Bond’s Intra Muros delivers a personal and voyeuristic glimpse into an artist’s struggles with creative malaise. Bond visually samples work from experimental giants Norman McLaren, Len Lye and herself as Judith Gruber-Stitzer’s soundtrack ranges from contemplative to cacophonous.

At the juncture of high art and low art, interior/exterior installations, architecture and film, Rose Bond re-imagines animation.  Her multi-windowed projections transform the surrounding sidewalks into a cinema-lit lyceum.
